On 30th July 2020, concluding our Discover Italy Through its Culinary Traditions Webinar Series on a sweet note was the 6th and final webinar on Gelato, Italy and the world’s favourite frozen dessert. This webinar series was organised by IICCI in association with ALMA, Italy’s renowned Culinary School, and under the True Italian Taste initiative.
Thank you to all the participants and the Chef Ambassador Carlo Maria Ricci, and Chef de Partie Binita Debnath for an extremely interesting and insightful session.
After the opening remarks by Andrea Baldi, Director Istituto Italiano di Cultura - New Delhi, Claudio Maffioletti, CEO of the IICCI, introduced the True Italian Taste project, and Andrea Sinigaglia, General Manager of ALMA presented the school. Following this, Chef Ricci took the participants through the history of Gelato making, the process of making Gelato, and the different kinds of prominent frozen desserts.
The webinar was well attended by foodies, professionals and students alike.
