Torta di mele is the most classic and famous Italian cake. It has a delicious layer of apple crisps, pies, and cobblers that are intensely prepared with cinnamon, nutmeg, and cardamom, no spices are utilized in the torta di mele. Just freshly crushed lemon juice and lemon zest give the cake a light, delicate taste, and less sugar lets the natural sweetness of the apples come through.
