Important information for travelers from India and Nepal to Italy

The Embassy of Italy in India informs you that, starting from 24 May 2021, anyone who enters Italy from India and Nepal, for any length of time, onboard any means of transport, before entering the national territory, is required to fill in the Passenger Locator Form (dPLF) in digital format in the following ways:

  1. Connect to the site

  2. Follow the wizard to access the dPLF

  3. Choose “Italy” as the destination country

  4. Register on the site by creating a personal profile with a username and password (you only need to do it the first time)

  5. Fill in and send the dPLF following the guided procedure.

Once the passenger sends the form, he will receive the dPLF in pdf and QRcode format at the e-mail address indicated during registration, which he must show directly from his smartphone (in digital format) at the time of boarding and to anyone appointed to carry out the controls. Alternatively, the passenger can print a copy of the dPLF to show at boarding. The dPLF must be completed and sent compulsorily before boarding. In any case, the field relating to the seat number assigned on the means of transport will always be editable.

Each adult passenger must complete the form; in the event of the presence of minors, the latter can be registered in the accompanying adult form. In the case of unaccompanied minors, the dPLF must be completed by the tutor before departure.

Filling out the digital form replaces the paper declaration referred to in art. 50, paragraph 1, of the decree of the President of the Council of Ministers of 2 March 2021. In exceptional cases, or exclusively for technological impediments, it will be possible to fill in the paper form.
