The development of COVID-19 in India is having important repercussions on different key sectors in which Italian companies in India operate. Among these, Building Construction (building, windows, glass, ceramic, paints, etc.) have been experiencing a strong slowdown due to the temporary closure of building and construction denting the real estate business. There is unsold inventory yet to be taken off the shelves, project delays and the commercial real estate area is facing the worst onslaught of COVID19 with malls, theatres, offices under national and then state/city lockdowns.
