The second online awareness program of the series DISCOVER ITALY THROUGH ITS CULINARY TRADITIONS, organised by the IICCI and ALMA - The International School of Italian Cuisine as part of the project True Italian Taste, was dedicated to the topic of ITALIAN CHEESE and COLD-CUTS.
Needing no introduction, cheese and cold cuts feature prominently in many aspects of Italian Cuisine. What makes these products so appealing? How did they catalyse so much attention? How has their consumption and understanding changed over time?
After the opening remarks by Alessandro De Masi, Head of Economic and Commercial Affairs at the Embassy of Italy in New Delhi, India and Francesca Datola, First Secretary, Economic & Innovation Department, Claudio Maffioletti, CEO of the IICCI, introduced the True Italian Taste proect, whilst Andrea Sinigaglia, General Manager of ALMA presented the school. Following, Carlo Maria Ricci, ALMA Chef Ambassador and Binita Debnath, ALMA Graduate Ambassador took participants through the wonders of Italian cheese and cold-cuts.
