The International Master on Information Technology, is a Joint initiative of the Scuola Superiore Sant' Anna of Pisa, Italy, the Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry the Italian Embassy in Delhi and Indian Universities. |

Motivation and Purpose
The project, in the framework of the ongoing bilateral Government relations in the IT sector, aims to provide the Indian students with advance education in information technology, enabling them to accomplish practical research work in the area of information systems as it is performed in the most advanced R&D environments. The course is sponsored by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Italian Ministry of University and Research. Students complete their training by developing project work in companies operating in Italy in the field of Information Technology.
Structure of the courses
The Training Activity of the Masters Course is limited to fifteen Indian students beginning September, 2007 for a 12-month program. The course is structured in traditional class work and in laboratory sessions during the first 8-month period (40 hours a week) in Pisa, and in project work developed in the laboratories of the hosting companies during the second 4-month period. |

| Program Entry Requirements |
| |
| To be eligible for admission to the Master program, a student must: |
| |
- Hold a Bachelor Degree (normally from a four-year program) or its equivalent in Information Technology,
- Have undergraduate marks above average
|
An official transcript in English of the Bachelor Degree and of the marks must be included in the application |

Language Requirements
The medium of teaching during the first 8 months is English. All applicants are therefore expected to produce evidence of proficiency in English in the form of either |
| |
- an internationally recognized test, such as IELTS or TOEFL, or
- evidence that the Bachelor Degree was earned at a University where the sole language of instruction is English
|
All successful applicants will be offered an intensive Italian language course in India before leaving and/or upon arrival in Italy by the Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. |

| Selection Process |
| The selection process will be divided into two stages. |
| |
- pre selection upon applicant titles
- multiple choice test divided into four parts: mathematics and logic, C and C++ programming language, algorithms, information technology principles.
|
The written test will be held in the Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce offices in: Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, New Delhi and Kolkata around the end of June. The exact date and location will be promptly communicated to applicants by e-mail.
The selection will be carried out by a committee that will select candidates by rating them using a scale with a maximum score of 100 points, divided as follows:

- Max 60 points for the written test and max 40 points for titles.

| The following criteria will apply: |
| |
- degree awarding year (max 6 points);
- age (max 5 points);
- degree mark (max 17 points);
- professional experience (max 5 points);
- post-degree training courses (max 2 points);
- other titles (max 5 points).

At the end of the selection process, the selection committee will post the final ranking list on this web site, and will proceed to contact via e-mail the resulting top 15 candidates.
Notification of Admission |
Notification of admission will be given through e-mail and by letter. Upon receipt of an offer of admission, candidates who accept should apply immediately for a Student Entry Visa through the consular offices of Italy in India. Assistance will be provided by the Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Mumbai, which the candidates should refer to when filing the visa application. |

| Scholarship |
| All students admitted to the master will be entitled to the following: |
| |
- Tuition waiver for the Master course
- A scholarship in the amount of 750 euros per month during the first eight months. During the 4-month period of project work students will be supported by the hosting companies providing an equivalent monthly allowance.
- health insurance for the 12-month period

| All other expenses including: travel, accomodations, and meals are to be borne by the students. |
