Ipack-Ima SpA, trade fair leader in the packaging, agri-food and logistics sectors, has joined with Centrexpo SpA, Italian leader in the graphic arts and converting fields, to create one of the most important Italian exhibition systems, with 55,000 sq m of technology on show every year. Today, Ipack-Ima and Centrexpo are among the leading international organisers of exhibitions for the packaging and processing industry in terms of exhibiting surface area and technological standards. Both companies work closely with the associations which represent the relevant industrial sectors: ANIMA (Federation of Italian Associations of Mechanical and Engineering Industries) and UCIMA (Italian Association of Automatic Packing and Packaging Machinery Manufacturers). Ipack-Ima SpA and Centrexpo are a full-service partners, able to support and maximise the efforts of Italian companies in the international marketplace and representing a series of specialised packaging and processing exhibitions in Asia, the Americas, and Russia (the key ‘Made in Italy’ markets). In parallel, they have an international sales network covering ten countries: Austria, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Spain, Russia, United States, China, Taiwan and Singapore. Ipack-Ima has been held 19 times over 44 years. There were 1,527 exhibitors from 32 different countries at the exhibition in 2006, creating a technological showcase of 63,000 sq m. 50,000 operators from around the world crowded around the stands and pavilions. The last edition of IPACK-IMA was held from 24 to 28 March, 2009, together with Grafitalia – Exhibition of Machinery and Materials for the Graphic Arts, Publishing and Communication Industries; Converflex – International Exhibition for the Paper, Tissue, Paper Converting, Package Printing Machines and Materials; and Plast – International Exhibition for Plastics and Rubber Industries. Centrexpo is committed to organising international well-established large-scale exhibitions, such as: Grafitalia, Converflex, and also events that are very specific in terms of the field of business or geographical area, like Med print, the exhibition staged in collaboration with Fiera Roma and targeted specifically for central-southern Italy. Centrexpo has also signed key agreements with some of the most prestigious exhibition organisers worldwide, in order to broaden the international scope of its activities.
